Biomechanical Assessment
Biomechanics is the study of how muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments work together to produce movement in the body. The body is connected through kinetic chains, so foot biomechanics can influence the ankles, legs, knees, hips, and lower back.
When muscles are weak or tight, technique is poor, or excessive force is placed on bones or soft tissues, the body may experience pain. This happens when tissues cannot tolerate the load, leading to tears, inflammation, swelling, fractures, and other injuries.
