Meet The Team @ Umina Podiatry
Our team is a dynamic group with varying interests in Podiatry. This means that we can offer expert treatment for whatever your condition might be. With at least three podiatrists in clinic most days, we have the benefits of a team approach, and the old fashioned idea that “two heads are better than one”. Don’t be surprised if we bring in a colleague to your consultation, and have a quick chat about the best treatment options to meet your goals.
Dwight Bilson
Graduated University of Newcastle 2016
After graduating, Dwight kicked off his career working in country NSW. He later moved to the Sydney CBD, where he honed his skills in biomechanical assessments.
Dwight is passionate about falls prevention and diabetic foot health, and his background in orthopaedic nursing means he brings a unique perspective to podiatry care.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dwight’s usually outdoors—having a hit of tennis, spending time on the water, or heading off for a camping trip. He’s a proud Sydney Swans supporter and always has a dad joke up his sleeve (you’ve been warned!).
Michelle Foley
Graduated Manchester 2010
Michelle grew up in Ireland, and moved to Manchester to study Podiatry. There she received a prestigious award as the top student in her year. She came to Australia in 2011 and worked in a large private practice in Sydney before making the move to the Central Coast with her husband.
Michelle has completed further study in musculoskeletal acupuncture and dry needling, and finds this very helpful in managing muscle and nerve pain.
Her spare time is spent with her two young children, as well as pursuing interests in fitness, fashion, interior design and travel.
Ellie McGuinness
Graduated University of Newcastle 2009
Ellie grew up in the area, and worked at the Ferry Road Café for many years. She joined us soon after graduating, and her pleasant caring nature is popular with many of our patients.
Ellie is married and has three daughters who take up much of her time, but is also a keen baker and cake maker, producing some spectacular cakes for special occasions.

Daena Shields
Graduated University of Newcastle 2025
Daena’s interest in podiatry began following a personal foot injury during her time as a full-time gymnast, which inspired her passion for helping others return to pain-free movement. Daena has an overall interest in podiatry care and takes a friendly, patient-centred approach to treatment.
Having grown up on the Central Coast, she is excited to give back and support her local community by helping patients feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for. In her spare time, Daena enjoys spending time at the beach and staying active with family and friends.
Brodie Bilson
Practice Manager
Meet Brodie, our vibrant Practice Manager with a quiet nature but bubbly personality. When she’s not ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, you’ll find Brodie chasing after her lively toddler, exploring the great outdoors, or embarking on adventures with her playful Dalmatian sidekick, Cali.
Brodie’s energy and passion for fun make her an essential part of our team, bringing joy and enthusiasm to everything she does.
Theresa Troilo
Receptionist / Accounts Manager
Theresa is our multi-talented team member, she not only serves as our receptionist but also excels as our accounts manager. Married to her Italian husband, their lively household bustling from the comings and goings of their four children and the warmth of extended family gatherings.
Theresa’s nurturing nature and efficient multitasking skills, honed through her roles as both a mother and valued team member at Umina Podiatry, making her an invaluable asset to our workplace.
Rebecca O’Farrell
Receptionist
Rebecca is the person you usually speak to on the phone. She looks after your appointments and billing, and performs many of the “behind the scenes” things that help our podiatrists to look after you.
Rebecca has teenage children that keep her busy. She enjoys family camping trips and is a keen concert goer.
